CAD Technician
Katrina Ekman is a dynamic individual with an aptitude for reading and understanding drawings from multiple disciplines. As part of PDI’s technical support team, she has assisted our staff in identifying potential conflicts with other disciplines. Ms. Ekman has a broad range of experience in site planning, landscape, and building design. She has over 10 years of experience with computer aided drafting. With changing technology, she has continued to learn and adapt to changes in AutoCAD and 3D modeling.
PDI’s technical support staff are an integral part of our team. Ms. Ekman will be one of the technicians responsible for translating system design information (redlines) from our engineering staff into AutoCAD utilizing the appropriate CAD standards. She will assist in coordination with the sub-consultants regarding appropriate titleblocks and delivery of the electronic files to PDI. Our technicians will assemble the CAD files into printable and transmittable files (such as PDF). Additionally, Ms. Ekman will assist in the review of the drawings prepared by PDI and the sub-consultants to identify inconsistencies or conflicts.
