Jo Anne Goebel contributes permitting assistance for Protection Development, Incorporated clients. With her knowledge of the City of San Antonio Development Services Department permitting procedures, she is capable of submitting new commercial structures, building additions, interior finish-outs, remodels, minor plan reviews and walkthroughs. This includes receiving permitting packages, review for completeness and submit in accordance with City of San Antonio procedures. Her experience with the City staff enables working knowledge of all the permit review department disciplines including traffic, drainage, landscaping, building, fire and mechanical/electrical systems. This working knowledge also allows intelligent interaction with the design team and the ability to convey the reviewer’s comments to the design team efficiently. She is able to check project status and provide accurate reports, contact design team members regarding items needed for re-submittal and re-submit to the appropriate City reviewers in a timely manner. Recently, she has provided permitting coordination for Chili’s, CVS Pharmacy, Frost Bank, Wachovia Bank and Northeast Independent School District.

Also, as an administrative 1assistant, her organizational and computer skills lend support to technical staff, maintain various data base programs and assist with bookkeeping functions.

As owner/operator of a successful secretarial service, Ms. Goebel provided administrative services to engineers, architects, real estate appraisers, sales representatives and general business professionals. Her clients depended on her ability to represent them in a professional manner through word processing documents and reports, assembling reports, providing copier service, faxing, and communication.


1988 – 1993

Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center
Houston, Texas

Ms. Goebel began her employment with The Blood Center as administrative assistant to Vice President Donor Recruitment. She was promoted to supervisor of the donor recruitment administrative staff. Under her supervision, the staff’s responsibilities included various aspects of scheduling blood drives, maintaining all marketing literature, give-aways, mass mailings, coordination of donor luncheons/seminars along with numerous administrative functions and support to recruiters.
