Mr Medina joined Protection Development Inc. (PDI) as an Associate Fire Protection Engineer. He is experienced in product design and development, project management, and technical documentation. He has a strong understanding of the fundamentals of engineering principles complimented by creative problem solving and a unique design approach.
In his role as an Engineer in Training, Mr Medina supports PDI clients by providing analytic modeling, computer aided designs and simulations. He uses his problem solving skills to generate hydraulic models to analyze water flow and pressure for private water systems, and documents all project work through technical reports and engineering drawings. During project reviews, Mr. Medina confers with International Codes to determine regulatory compliance and, using AutoCAD makes required revisions and changes to client plans.
Mr Medina's daily responsibilities include handling multiple client projects, including Failure/Root Cause Analyses, testing design validity by performing necessary high accuracy calculations and tolerance analysis, and creating updated, verified drawings.
