Biography
Robert Waxler is an extremely dedicated individual who developed a passion for Fire Protection Engineering and Life Safety while attending the University of Texas at San Antonio, starting his career in mechanical engineering. He soon realized that his interest truly was in fire protection. Mr. Waxler followed his interest as a Graduate Engineer with the Prevention Division of the Austin Fire Department (AFD). While serving the City of Austin, he had the opportunity to participate in the review of fire protection systems for a wide variety of occupancies and provided key engineering support for AFD fire inspectors. His education, leadership, and professional experience makes him a valuable member of the PDI team.
Committed to being involved in the Architectural, Engineering and Construction community, Mr Waxler currently serves as Vice President for the Austin-San Antonio Chapter of the Society of Fire Protection Engineers (SFPE), the largest SFPE chapter in Texas. He is a member of the Development Process Task Force of San Antonio, which deals with City development issues.
