PDI provides comprehensive fire and life safety consulting for new and existing structures.
This means that in a building project, whether it is a new building, a remodel, or an historical renovation, PDI can perform a detailed review of the building elements which provide the safety and conformity that have become the standard, as expected in the public and private sectors.
PDI reviews allowable building area and height, building construction, occupancy classifications, occupant loads, required or alternative fire protection systems, and other building-related issues.
In addition to reviewing for compliance with the applicable building codes and standards, PDI performs comprehensive fire code analysis. These analyses include a facility’s required fire flow, fire department apparatus access roads, hoselay requirements, hazardous operations, and other fire code-related issues.
PDI’s experience with building and fire codes includes the International Codes, Uniform Codes, Standard Codes, BOCA (Building Officials and Code Administrators International, Inc.) and the National Fire Protection Association’s National Fire Codes. PDI also has extensive experience in dealing with government requirements for new and existing structures.
